Care and Maintenance

How should I clean my HX3 body protector?

Wipe the exterior surface with a clean cloth using warm water only. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, or use harsh chemical detergents and bleach, as these can degrade the internal protective foam.

What is the best way to store the HX3 after riding?

Hang the HX3 on a wide, padded coat hanger or lay it flat in a well-ventilated, dry place. Avoid folding or placing heavy equipment on top of it, which could crease or distort the internal hexagonal foam structure.

Where should I avoid keeping my HX3?

Store it away from direct heat sources (such as radiators, heaters, or hot cars) and direct sunlight. Extreme heat can alter the structural integrity of the thermo-responsive foam layers.

How do I know when my HX3 needs replacing?

Inspect your protector regularly for visible signs of damage, deep creasing, or foam deterioration. After any severe fall or heavy impact, the body protector should be replaced immediately, even if there is no visible external damage.

Can I modify or alter my HX3 for a better fit?

No. You should never alter, cut, or modify any part of the HX3. Modifying the fabric, foam, or adjustment straps will void its BETA Level 3 safety certification and compromise its ability to protect you during an impact.
